Surugede dance is a fabled dance of the spirit among the Igbo people of Nigeria. It is often used in a proverb which says ‘he who dances Surugede, should know that it is the dance of the spirits’ Usually, the saying goes as some form of caution, to someone who is set on an inglorious path.
