Columns of Origin is a painted terracotta that explores the relationship between cultural identity, ancestry, and memory. The vertical forms symbolize the foundations passed down through generations, while the painted surfaces draw from traditional African visual motifs to represent heritage and continuity. The work reflects how the past remains embedded in the present, connecting individual identity to a larger cultural origin.
